Restoration and Repair
We are well-established as one of the UK’s leading specialists in the restoration and repair of
natural stone, offering a complete range of services for the repair, cleaning and replacement of
stone and mortar. Our approach is based on a philosophy of minimal intervention, seeking to
retain and restore as much original material as possible, and reproducing replica details to the
very highest quality where necessary.

Design and Supply
Where new stonework is required, either for new-build projects or for the creation of replica
details on restoration projects, our masons can support you from initial advice on design, material
selection and sourcing, right through to the production of the highest quality stone features. All
services are provided on a supply-and-fix or supply-only basis.

Consultancy
Our experienced craftsmen offer a consultancy service to support clients from the very earliest
stages of any project. Our consultancy service includes: inspections; reporting; project specification;
stone and mortar matching; measurement and mould taking; and studio design.

Small Works
As well as our work on some of the nation’s largest and most prestigious buildings, Linford masons
work around the country on a wide range of ‘small works’ projects, working on individual structural
elements or details.

Fire Damage Repair
Over many years, Linford Masonry has developed specialist expertise in repair and restoration
work following fire damage to historic buildings. As part of the wider Linford-Bridgeman team, we
offer a dedicated fire response service designed to help property owners, insurers and loss adjusters
in these circumstances. Our specialist support deals with both the practical and structural issues arising
in the hours and days immediately after the fire and the subsequent stabilising and repair required on
damaged stonework.

Memorials and Monuments
We are also well-established as one of the country's leading contractors for the relocation, maintenance
and repair of major stone items, such as war memorials, monuments and gate pillars.


Carving
Linford has an expert team of carvers who can deliver outstanding feature pieces in stone. The carving
studio works either as part of a wider restoration project or on individual commissions. We can repair
existing stone carvings with replacement elements, carve new figures or pieces of architectural stonework
from photographs or by in-house design, and reproduce complex pinnacles, capitals and friezes.
